On March 17, 2024, the F12 generation of students participated in a training session focused on Project Management Skills. This program is an integral part of the Pay it Forward project by VietSeeds, specifically tailored for second and third-year students. The overarching goal of the Pay it Forward project is to create opportunities for students to learn and apply essential skills through the development of their own projects.

The training session on Project Management Skills was led by Coach Trần Lê Quỳnh Nga, a seasoned VietSeeds Project Manager. Her guidance provided fundamental insights into the intricacies of project development.

Project management, as a discipline, encompasses an array of skills. In this initial phase, Coach Nga introduced participants to an overview of the project management process, with a particular emphasis on the critical first step: project planning.

During this segment, Coach Nga facilitated a holistic understanding of the project management lifecycle. She then delved into the pivotal task of project planning. Crafting an effective project plan involves meticulous consideration of four essential factors:

1. Start and end dates: Determining the project’s timeline.
2. Creativity or problem-solving ability: Addressing challenges inherent to the project.
3. Project scope: Clearly defining project boundaries and objectives.
4. Distinguishing daily operational activities from project-specific tasks.

Furthermore, Chị Nga shared insights into the PDCA model (Plan-Do-Check-Act), which serves as a powerful framework for effective project management. Participants had the opportunity to apply the PDCA model to real-world scenarios, addressing project-related issues through thoughtful questions and practical exercises.
