Another spring has come, and in the festive and eager atmosphere of the early days of the new year, VietSeeds students are starting their journey as go-betweens, returning to their high schools across the country to support and answer questions for students who want to apply for the VietSeeds Scholarship Program for the 2021-2022 academic year.

VietSeeds is now accepting applications for the 11th generation in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Hue. The eligibility requirements and information are as follows:

Eligibility Requirements:

• First-year students from low-income families:

At the time of application, the applicant must be in grade 12 or retaking the exam, preparing to take the university entrance exam in 2021-2022 and planning to study at a university in one of the three cities: Ho Chi Minh City/Hanoi/Hue (applications from students from year 2 and above are not accepted). The family's financial situation is difficult, but the student has the desire to pursue their university dream. Families with special circumstances (orphans, ethnic minorities, families with sick members with medical expenses that exceed the family's ability to pay, etc.) are given priority.

• Academic achievements:

VietSeeds is looking for students with fine to excellent academic achievements who have the study skills to continue pursuing their dreams. Students with achievements or awards at the provincial or national level during their studies (will be a plus in the selection process)

• Effort and determination:

VietSeeds is looking for students with high effort and determination on their journey to conquer knowledge, bravely overcoming difficult obstacles to achieve their dreams.

Recruitment Process 2021:

Applicants will go through 4 rounds of selection:

• Round 1: Screening of applications: Online applications will be accepted through the website. The application form will be available from May 1, 2021 on the VietSeeds website: http://vietseeds.org
• Round 2: Face-to-face interview: (Scheduled: Hue August 23-28, 2021; Ho Chi Minh City: August 31-September 4, 2021; Hanoi: September 7-11, 2021) (The time may change depending on the actual situation)
• Round 3: Group interview (Assessment Center): September 2021
• Round 4: Review of actual circumstances at the local, school, or family of the applicant

What You Will Receive When You Become a Seed:

• Financial support:

Each VietSeeds scholarship is worth $1,500 per year (Ho Chi Minh City/Hanoi) or $1,200 per year (Hue) for one student admitted to the program. Students can prolong the scholarship throughout their university career if they always have good results after each evaluation period (conducted by VietSeeds and the sponsor). The scholarship includes tuition, living expenses, and training and mentoring programs.

• Mentoring:

This is a one-on-one mentoring program in which each scholarship recipient will have a mentor to accompany them on their personal development journey. VietSeeds mentors are people who have achieved a lot during their time at university as well as in their careers, and they are looking forward to sharing and helping the next generation.

• Training:

The program is designed to help students develop skills, improve their English, and develop their abilities, through the acquisition of foundational knowledge and the process of applying this knowledge to reality.

• And most importantly, the strong bonds of the VietSeeds family - always loving and helping each other, supporting each other in their development

How to Apply:

• The scholarship application form will be available on the VietSeeds website on May 1, 2021.
• Applicants fill out the online scholarship application form and click SUBMIT. You need a computer and the Internet to complete the application.
