MEET MS. NGUYEN LINH CHI - AN INSPIRING AMBASSADOR OF VIETSEEDS
Oct 20, 2021
On the occasion of Vietnamese Women's Day October 20, VietSeeds would like to send our sincerest and deepest gratitude to the women who have been accompanying us on the journey of sowing and nurturing good Seeds for life.
Among those special women, we are honored to have Ms. Nguyen Linh Chi, a special sister who always accompanies VietSeeds at our most significant events. She once took on the role of An Inspiring Ambassador of the UpRace 2019 program and speaker of the Snap Learning 2020 series.
Currently, Ms. Chi is known as a famous athlete in the Vietnamese running world as she has continuously challenged herself on many long-distance running journeys, always desiring to strongly inspire VietSeeds students in particular as well as young people in general for this running sport.
Q: Are you one of VietSeeds' long-time companions? Why have you stayed with VietSeeds for so long?
A: The reason why I am familiar with being close and then staying here for all this time is that I have seen the growth of VietSeeds, perhaps it's also a coincidence that its growth is similar to my personal growth. Another reason is because at VietSeeds I have friends who have been with the organization since the early days. They are not mere companions in work, but also friends that I truly appreciate and cherish. That luck is something we don't always have in life, so I will hold it tightly.
Q: You shared on your personal page: "Always try a little harder, move forward a little harder, even a little harder for really long roads." I wonder if you guys ever feel exhausted because of those "grueling long roads"? And if so, how did you regain the energy to continue your journey of conquering?
A: It will definitely be tiring. In fact, "regaining energy to move forward" starts with a very small but extremely important action. That's when you realize that you are burnt out, needing to rest, needing to ask someone to bring you a glass of water, a towel or just sit and rest under a certain tree. I demonstrate it figuratively like that, I am sure that you understand the meaning, aren’t I?
Q: As a speaker in the Snap Learning series, you shared about problem solving skills as one of the necessary skills for today’s young people. So is there any skill that you think is equally crucial in the journey of young people asserting themselves in this turbulent world?
A: The first and most critical thing is to accept the ever-changing world. Instead of thinking you can change the world, think you just need to change yourself.
