The graceful ao dai and the smile full of energy remind us of nobody but Ms Nguyen Ngoc My, who is a beloved sister of VietSeeds students. Ms Ngoc My currently works as a strategy director of VietSeeds Foundation. Having accompanied VietSeeds Foundation since its infancy, My has her career path and self-development substantially influenced by this foundation.

Q: In your opinion, what is the most wonderful value that VietSeeds Foundation has brought to its students and the community?

A: I think VietSeeds has brought its students “a whole new world”. That students join VietSeeds actually opens up a bright future for them as they are  granted such a golden opportunity to get connected with many competent seniors and lovely friends as well as hone a myriad of job-related skills. You guys will have a safe environment to enrich your knowledge, enhance your self-awareness and unlock your potential. You thereby can support many following Seed generations and your community so that you help to maintain the long-standing “Pay it forward” spirit  of VietSeeds Foundation through lots of generations.

Q: You are often identified in the traditional Ao dai during significant events of VietSeeds. Do you imply anything with this choice of garment?

A: When I appear in front of the students on their Graduation day, I usually wear traditional Ao dai. The reason behind this may be that the pure white Ao dai reminds us of our school days and our ceaseless efforts in reaching our wildest dreams. Through this choice of clothing, I would like to communicate a message: In our entire life, we never stop learning. That we have graduated doesn’t mean we are not students anymore. In each chapter of our life, we are put in numerous new environments which means we need to continue to study, grapple with new challenges and conquer many other peaks. I will always be here, continuing to learn and growing with you guys.

Q: In a post from 2018, you shared: "After so many years standing in front of many generations and giving so many speeches, I still tremble now..." Does that feeling of "trembling" still exist and why?

A: Every time I appear in front of you, I still tremble, because we always have a desire to connect with each other, to express our thoughts, to be understood and shared. From the bottom of my heart, I expect you guys to be successful, know how to love, and be brave enough to become the best version of yourself and further contribute to our society. I have witnessed hundreds of nervous and worried eyes of the Seeds in every conversation. I understand that they are stepping out of their comfort zone, making a commitment to move towards a better future. I always hope to accompany and support the students on the journey they have chosen to engage in.

Q: What is one thing you want to send to the VietSeeds family before the New Year of the Tiger 2022?

A: On the occasion of the new year, I wish VietSeeds students a stronger, more resilient, more determined Year of the Tiger - just like your "resilient seeds" name. Surely, all the best things will come to our beloved VietSeeds family!
