On May 12, 2024, after over a month of preparation, RISERS in Hanoi successfully completed a presentation on their solution for the second Case Study. The students honorably welcomed the presence of Ms. Phuong Thao - Operations Manager of VietSeeds in the North, along with two guest judges : Ms. Minh Hue - Training Manager at Golden Gate Corporation and Mr. Nguyen Bao Trong - Digital Marketing Director at VinFast. In addition, the program also acknowledged the attendance of two counselors : Ms. Kim Hien - HR Coach and Ms. Truc Chi - Finance Coach, and notably the online participation of Ms. Tran Le Quynh Nga - Project Manager of VietSeeds.
With the experiences gained from the presentation on the first case study solution, despite some changes in the personnel of the departments, the students made efforts to collaborate with new faces, presenting advanced and creative proposals for the situation featured in this second case study - the development of the Coffee-to-go café model.
After the presentation and Q&A session with other departments, each group also received detailed feedback and suggestions from the judges. The Operations department needs to be more meticulous and invest more in preparation for each stage. Additionally, they should build confidence and improve teamwork to function more effectively. For the HR department, the judges emphasized the importance of developing training and recruitment plans for each specific process and category. Lastly, for the Finance department, the key task is to master the figures related to costs and revenue, have a broader view of different types of cost and know how to handle various situations. In conclusion, the departments should have a unified focus and detailed plans, as well as create strong connections between them to achieve optimal results in their work.
The students have made significant progress compared to the first case study session and received praise for their positive changes. Thanks to the compliments and encouragement from the judges and counselors, they have boosted up motivation to further improve and prepare for the next case study presentations, as well as gain a better understanding of the practical working environment for their future.
Once again, VietSeeds would like to express sincere gratitude to the judges and counselors for their precious weekend time accompanying the students. Hopefully, RISERS will always maintain the spirit of "Able to Learn" to obtain more meaningful experiences in the upcoming case study presentations.
