On Sunday morning, January 11th, as part of the VietSeeds RISE 2026 program, RISERs from the Southern region participated in the second training session with the theme “Solving Business Problems & Project Management Tools”. The training was led by Ms. Nguyen Duc Thuy Anh - Co-founder and Program Director of VietSeeds as well as Chairwoman of RISE 2026, and Ms. Ha Nguyen - Sales Manager at Hoan My Saigon, who is also the CEO & Coach of the RISE Marketing department.  

Through engaging minigames such as “Make or Buy” and “Money Money Money”, the RISERs were warmed up and gradually familiarized with cost analysis thinking, benefits, risks, and effectiveness in the decision-making process. Starting from student life situations, the session gradually expanded to how businesses approach the Profit & Loss problem, an important foundation in business.  

The core content of the training focused on the process of solving business cases in RISE, including identifying the context, the problem to be decided, the KPI, and the role of each department. Through the case study “Make or Buy (OEM vs Factory)” and the simulation game “Airplane Production,” the students directly experienced how the Marketing, Sales, Finance, and HR departments coordinate, contribute data and perspectives to reach a common decision as in a real business environment.  

The training session not only helped students approach tools and methods but also emphasized the importance of system thinking, effective communication, and consensus in teamwork, which are essential competencies for project implementation and the upcoming RISE journey.
