On May 30th, RISERS in Ho Chi Minh City had the opportunity to visit the office of Decathlon in Vietnam - one of the leading companies in providing sports products. The event was attended by Mr. Pham Quang Trung - Decathlon's HR Business Partner, and many other representatives from the company. 
Decathlon was founded in France in 1976 and entered the Vietnamese market in 1995 through partnerships with product suppliers, and has since become the second largest production market after China. Based on its overflowing history and development, Mr. Trung shared the mission spirit of Decathlon, which is "Magical sports - Spreading passion", and the company's common values of "Vitality", "Responsibility", "Generosity", and "Authenticity". 

Throughout the whole visit, the students had the chance to observe the working environment and engage in discussions with the employees to understand better about the company's culture as well as production processes and strategies in delivering excellent products and services to customers. In addition, as a global company, with Vietnam as a country that has the advantage of diverse manufacturing and distribution capabilities, the logistics and supply activities would become all the more dynamic.  

Furthermore, Decathlon is committed to sustainable development by creating a new circular business model - designing and producing products using recyclable materials to minimize environmental impact.  

The tour concludes with a Q&A session about business operations and job opportunities for recent graduates, along with interesting gifts from Decathlon - dynamic water bottles.
