On the weekend of December 6th, the training under the theme “Communication & Networking Skills” - as part of the presentation project for the F15 generation students, was successfully held in Hanoi, led by Ms. Huyen Ton Nu Cat Tuong  - Co-founder & Managing Director of VietSeeds.  

Starting with a sketching activity through clumsy yet full of genuine emotion drawings from the participants themselves, the Seeds had a moment of silence to listen to their inner voice and understand that communication does not only begin with words, but sometimes involves recognizing one’s own emotions to be ready for a conversation.  

Following that emotional flow, the students shared the barriers that made them feel insecure and hesitant when communicating. With Ms. Cat Tuong’s subtle guidance, those drawbacks were gradually identified and became easier to face. The 5C theoretical framework (Control - Confident - Calm - Clear - Concise) also provided the students with a practical foundation to further improve their communication skills.

In the group activity, they were divided into teams to present different perspectives on the art of communication. Besides learning how to listen and open up to others, communication is also a journey of connecting with oneself, to clearly understand one’s feelings, thoughts and desires. Although the viewpoints were somewhat different, they generally harmonized into a colorful picture, helping everyone realize that communication is never confined to a fixed mold but is the way we choose to connect with the world in the most authentic way.

The training session concluded with the activity “Sweet as a candy,” where they learned how each little piece of sweet treat could become a friendly greeting to start a new conversation. The smiles and simple inquiries shortened the distance between everyone, ending the event in a warm and positive atmosphere.
