MENTORING PROGRAM 2025 - 2026 : MENTOR - MENTEE ORIENTATION & NETWORKING
Dec 14, 2025
In December 2025, the Mentoring program of VietSeeds returned, continuing the journey alongside Mentors and Seeds in the three regions of Hanoi, Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City, opening the first warm and energetic connections, while laying the foundation for a sustainable, healthy, and effective relationship in the new academic year.
In Hanoi on December 6th, the first meeting between Mentors and Mentees took place in an intimate and inspiring atmosphere under the guidance of Ms. Huyen Ton Nu Cat Tuong - Co-founder & Managing Director of VietSeeds, and Ms. Le Thi Thu Trang - National Operations Manager of VietSeeds. Through slow-paced exchange and dialogue activities, Mentors and Mentees raised core questions such as: "How to listen and understand each other?" and "How to nurture long-term commitment?" The meeting also emphasized the basic boundaries that need to be maintained in a Mentor-Mentee relationship, while not avoiding communication when facing difficulties. The first stories, attention, and empathy partly laid the foundation of trust for the journey ahead.

Next, on December 7th in Hue, the Mentor - Mentee Orientation & Networking session took place smoothly, featuring random group activities that naturally connected people meeting for the first time. Effectively guided by Ms. Cat Tuong and Ms. Thu Trang, the first part of the program - Networking, introduced the 4-step model: Connect - Maintain - Nurture - Utilize, helping participants better understand how to build quality relationships. In the Orientation part, the program clarified the responsibilities of Mentors (direct communication at least 1 hour/month, committing for 12 months, periodic surveys), while emphasizing proactiveness, maintaining a Development Journal, and the principles of not discussing finances or forming overly close relationships. The session concluded with an optimistic spirit and readiness to begin the new Mentoring journey.
Concluding the series of events in Ho Chi Minh City on December 14th, the Mentoring program continued to spread the spirit of connection, with the continuous support of Ms. Cat Tuong, Ms. Thu Trang, and Mr. Khang Nguyen - Operations Assistant at VietSeeds. Similar to the previous two regions, Mentors and Mentees got to know each other through a group activity using colored paper, then proceeded to a series of networking and group work sessions to better understand the importance of building and nurturing relationships. Deep interactive exercises such as one-on-one emotional dialogues, family conversations, and the "Draw your friend" activity became catalysts that helped both sides open up and recognize the value of presence. The Orientation session in Ho Chi Minh City also clarified the S.E.E.D framework by year, the spirit of Pay It Forward, the roles and responsibilities of Mentors, as well as important notes for maintaining a healthy relationship. The atmosphere became more lively than ever during the Q&A and case discussion segment, where the Seeds realized that Mentors are like precious gifts to them, and its value depends on their own proactive acceptance.

The three events in the three regions each had different nuances but shared a common touch: warmth, commitment, and trust. These meetings have just marked the beginning of something new, but at the same time, they have laid the foundation for a journey where Mentors and Mentees will move forward, learn and grow together, because "No one can succeed alone."
Once again, sincere thanks to the presence of all the guests, mentors, and VietSeeds students at this program!
