On April 7, 2024, RISERs in Ho Chi Minh City had an active discussion with the Board of Directors (B.O.D) regarding the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) deal between RIMO and VPOS. The event not only welcomed the participation of two judges from VietSeeds: Ms. Nguyen Duc Thuy Anh - Co-founder and Program Director of VietSeeds and Ms. Tran Le Quynh Nga - Project Manager of VietSeeds; but also appreciated the presence of Mr. Le Ba An Binh, the 3rd guest judge, who is the Commercial Director of Zalo Business and CEO of Adtima VNG.
During the preparation process, all departments demonstrated professionalism and strong teamwork spirit with ardent support from the Coaches. Throughout the training session, the RISERs presented their proposals and answered all questions from the B.O.D, thereby clarifying various aspects of the deal and its potential risks. Besides, they also gained valuable knowledge, learned how to put themselves in specific business situations, and researched on similar cases to build strong and convincing arguments.
Coach Khoa from the Finance Department emphasized that M&A is a challenging field, but it also offers many learning opportunities to help students progress further and demonstrate their efforts as well as their proactive and serious spirit in solving any of their issues. In addition, Mr. An Binh shared some heartfelt advice to the young generation, that they should not draw to a close by only making proposals but also know how to summarize and clearly present their goals to the Board of Directors. He also highlighted the importance of seeking support when needed to make reliable proposals, thereby making it easier to achieve optimal results.
VietSeeds would like to express our sincere gratitude to the judges and coaches for taking the time to share their knowledge and experience, helping students to have a more realistic view of the work environment as well as to reap many valuable lessons for their own development in the future.
