On the morning of May 14, RISERS in Ho Chi Minh City had the opportunity to visit the Shopee Vietnam office at the Sonatus building. This is part of the VietSeeds RISE 2024 program, providing valuable insight into Shopee's operations, one of the leading e-commerce platforms in Taiwan and Southeast Asia, as well as exploring their dynamic work environment and attractive career opportunities. 

In Vietnam, Shopee officially started operating in 2016 and is currently the largest e-commerce platform in the country. During the visit, students had the chance to hear about the company's overview and learn about the importance of the 5 core values of “the Orange House," which are Service (We Serve), Adaptation (We Adapt), Commitment (We Commit), Humility (We Stay Humble), and Action (We Run), reflecting the business philosophy centered around customer needs and sustainable development. Additionally, Shopee has policies to build a friendly working culture and environment for employees through team-building activities, dynamic workspaces, and fostering creativity to enhance work efficiency. Representatives from Shopee also introduced recruitment programs for recent graduates, including the Shopee Apprentice Program (3-month internship) and the Graduate Development Program (2 years) with numerous learning and development opportunities.   

At the end of the visit, the students had the opportunity to admire the workspaces of Shopee Food and Shopee Express, with open spaces and various areas for work, meetings, and activities. Throughout the tour, many questions were raised regarding the company's development strategies, discount plans with special offers to stimulate customer orders, as well as challenges in the e-commerce industry and opportunities to work there. All these questions were kindly answered by the Shopee agents, providing valuable and useful experiences to the students.  

Lastly, representatives from VietSeeds and Shopee exchanged souvenirs as a token of appreciation for a meaningful sharing session. Hopefully, this company tour not only brought forth knowledge and practical experience in the e-commerce industry but also inspired and motivated RISERS to further succeed in their future careers.
