The Opening Ceremony 2022 at VietSeeds HCM was successfully held on Sunday morning, October 2, 2022, to welcome 62 new students of the F12 cohort in the HCM area to the VietSeeds family.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Ms. Bui Tran Phuong - a member of the Wisdom Seed Board and a sponsor of VietSeeds, Mr. Nguyen Phuong Lam - a long-term mentor and sponsor of VietSeeds, Ms. Huyen Ton Nu Cat Tuong and Ms. Nguyen Duc Thuy Anh - co-founders of VietSeeds, Runner-up Phuong Anh - Goodwill Ambassador of VietSeeds, as well as the members of the executive board, the sponsors, advisors, volunteers, and most importantly, the students and their families. Everyone altogether created a lively, enthusiastic and emotional atmosphere.

During the ceremony, we had the chance to witness the talent and confidence of VietSeeds students, the inspiring sharing from Ms. Tran Phuong, Ms. Cat Tuong, Runner-up Phuong Anh as well as the moving stories from the F12 students and their families. They shared their long journey to obtain the VietSeeds scholarship and the achievement of becoming official students of the Organization – the second home that will give them support and company throughout their university journey ahead. The VietSeeds Song, the traditional song of VietSeeds, was sung by everyone with pride, happiness and gratitude for life.

Ms. Bui Tran Phuong shared her insights on “LIBERAL EDUCATION”. She said that each of us can pursue liberal education without necessarily entering an environment labeled as Liberal Education; but rather, Liberal Education, also known as Humanistic Education, is true education for human beings that teaches us how to become decent, useful people for society and community. After receiving this kind of education, the learner will be more useful for life than he was before learning.

Ms. Cat Tuong, representing the Co-founder, then shared her thoughts on “CREATING CHANGE”. She said that one of the most courageous things that each of us should do is “CHANGE YOURSELF”, because only when we spend enough time looking inside ourselves to truly recognize the things we need to change in a more positive direction shall the journey of creating change really begin. And from there, the change from within ourselves and from our sincerity will effect a positive change of the people around us, from those very close to us like family, brothers and sisters, friends to acquaintances, work and study relationships outside society and even further, the change will contribute to positively impact the community.

The Opening Ceremony may have concluded but a new, exciting journey for F12 has just started. VietSeeds believes that the unforgettable memories in the ceremony will be the luggage that the students will bring along on their upcoming journey, with the effort, striving every day to reach their own dreams.
